Speaking to reporters on Air Force One, President Trump said that the United States should have full access to Venezuela’s oil and other resources, and that if Venezuela does not behave properly, the United States will launch a second attack.
The US president also threatened Vice President Delcy Rodriguez, who took power in Venezuela, and other countries in the region, saying that if Delcy Rodriguez does not do the right thing, she will have to pay a heavier price than Maduro.
He used strong language about Cuba, claiming that the Cuban government would soon collapse on its own, and that there might not be a need for military intervention because Cuba’s income came from Venezuela and now they won’t get that either.
President Trump said that Colombia is run by a sick man who is interested in making cocaine and selling it to the United States, but he will not be able to do so for long.
At one point, President Trump was asked if he was talking about a US military operation against Colombia, to which President Trump replied that he was pleased to hear about the possibility of US military action against the current Colombian government.
