Glenn Maxwell Announces Retirement from the IPL After Memorable Seasons

Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell has officially announced that he is ending his journey in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Maxwell shared the news through an Instagram post, stating that he would not be entering the upcoming IPL auction. Reflecting on his career, he said he was grateful for having the opportunity to play alongside world-class cricketers across multiple seasons.

The Australian all-rounder also thanked fans, teammates, and franchise management for their continuous support throughout his IPL career.

It is worth mentioning that before Maxwell, South Africa’s Faf du Plessis and England’s Moeen Ali also announced that they will not be part of the IPL going forward.
However, both players have confirmed their participation in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) this season.

Maxwell’s decision marks another major exit of an international star from the IPL, raising questions about overseas player availability in future editions.
