Sarfaraz Ahmed Appointed Manager and Mentor of Pakistan U-19 Team for Asia Cup

Former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed has been appointed as the manager and mentor of the national Under-19 cricket team, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed on Monday.

Sarfaraz will accompany the squad to the ACC U-19 Asia Cup, which is scheduled to take place in Dubai from December 12 to 21. His inclusion is expected to provide young players with valuable experience, guidance and leadership on and off the field.

According to the PCB’s announcement, Farhan Yousuf has been named captain, while Usman Khan will serve as vice-captain for the tournament.

The selected squad includes promising young talents such as Abdul Subhan, Ahmed Hussain, Ali Hassan Baloch, Ali Raza, Daniyal Ali Khan, Hamza Zahoor and Huzaifa Ahsan.

In addition, players Momin Qamar, Muhammad Huzaifa, Muhammad Sayyam, Muhammad Shayan, Niqab Shafiq, and Sameer Minhas have also been included and will represent Pakistan in the upcoming championship.

Sarfaraz Ahmed’s appointment is being seen as a positive step toward developing the next generation of cricketers, bringing his international exposure and leadership experience to the youth setup.
