Scottie Scheffler wins FedEx St. Jude Championship by eight shots

Scottie Scheffler delivered a dominant final-round performance to win the FedEx St. Jude Championship by eight shots at TPC Southwind on Sunday.

Scheffler entered the final round in Memphis with a two-shot advantage but quickly took control as his closest challengers struggled in difficult conditions.

South Korea’s Si Woo Kim finished a distant second at nine under, eight shots behind Scheffler.

Sam Burns had been in contention for second place but bogeyed the 18th hole to finish tied for third alongside Sweden’s Alex Noren.

Tommy Fleetwood endured a difficult final round after beginning the day among Scheffler’s challengers.

He mixed two birdies with two bogeys on the front nine to make the turn at level par for his round.

His challenge then unravelled on the back nine as he recorded four more bogeys, dropping to six under for the tournament and a tie for seventh place.

Scheffler’s commanding victory adds another title to his impressive record and continues his dominant run at the top of men’s golf.
