Security forces eliminate 9 Indian-backed Khawarij in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa operations

Security forces have killed nine Indian-backed Khawarij terrorists in two separate intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces conducted an intelligence-led operation in Tank district, where the hideout of Fitna al-Khawarij was effectively targeted. As a result of a fierce exchange of fire, seven Khawarij terrorists were killed.

The ISPR further stated that another intelligence-based operation was carried out in Lakki Marwat. During the exchange of fire, two more Khawarij terrorists were eliminated.

Arms and ammunition were recovered from the slain Indian-backed militants, who were involved in multiple terrorist activities, the military’s media wing said.

ISPR added that clearance operations are currently underway in the affected areas to dismantle the remaining terrorist networks. The security forces reaffirmed their resolve to continue operations until terrorism is completely eradicated from the country.

President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the security forces for successfully carrying out the operations. They lauded the timely action, courage, and professionalism of the forces and said the nation is proud of their unwavering commitment to restoring peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
