Seth Trimble, former North Carolina guard, has committed to join Louisville in the latest high-profile transfer.
As reported by ESPN’s Pete Thamel, with this announcement Trimble secured a major addition for the Cardinals ahead of the 2026-2027 season.
The former North Carolina guard entered the transfer portal in the spring and secured a 5th season of college eligibility. This comes after the Colorado district court ruling in which the court extended eligibility for the high school Class of 2022.
The American basketball player described North Carolina as home and expressed gratitude for his time with the Tar Heels while noting that a roster logjam prompted his decision to seek playing time elsewhere.
Recently, Trimble played in five Las Vegas Summer League games for the Washington Wizards where he averaged 10.8 points and 4.0 rebounds.
He also scored 971 career points over four seasons and 126 games in Chapel Hill. Last season, he made 14.0 points and 3.0 assists per game.
