Veteran wide receiver Keenan Allen has agreed to a one-year contract with the Indianapolis Colts as the team looks to strengthen its receiving corps ahead of the 2026 NFL season.
A team source confirmed the agreement to ESPN on Monday, with multiple reports saying the deal is worth up to $8.32 million.
The move reunites the 34-year-old Allen with Colts head coach Shane Steichen, who previously worked with him as offensive coordinator of the Los Angeles Chargers.
ESPN reported the pair had remained in contact, with Steichen discussing a potential move to Indianapolis with Allen for several months.
The Colts had been assessing their receiving options during training camp following the offseason trade of Michael Pittman Jr. and ankle surgery for new No. 1 receiver Alec Pierce.
Allen spent his first 11 NFL seasons with the Chargers before joining the Chicago Bears in 2024.
He returned to Los Angeles last season, finishing with 81 receptions for 777 yards and four touchdowns.
The six-time Pro Bowler was particularly effective on third downs, leading the NFL with 34 receptions and 29 receiving first downs in those situations.
Allen has recorded 1,055 receptions, 12,051 receiving yards and 70 touchdown catches during his 13-season NFL career.
